I've had the absolute pleasure of getting to know exactly what the travel industry needs when it comes to capturing humans and thanks to you, I've been so fortunate to photograph a lot of you at past events.

AS YOUR BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE B-ROLL BASH, I INVITE YOU TO STEP INTO YOUR LIGHT AND EMBRACE THE MAGIC THAT IS UNIQUELY YOU.

On the day 📝
  10:00am - 10:30am   WELCOME & CHECK-IN: 

On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed into The Mysa Motel, provided with a welcome pack of goodies and a refreshing drink to kickstart the day. 
 
You will be checked in, briefed on the house rules and mindful content creation etiquette for the day ahead. 
 

  10:30am - 11:00am   MEET THE MYSA MOTEL: 
 
Special meet & greet with the Slojourn Studio team as they introduce the stunning Mysa Motel before we take a short tour of the property, highlighting all the best locations for your content creation. Including lighting tips and key features of The Mysa Motel (poolside, rooms, backdrops etc) along the way.

Use this time to be inspired with ideas for potential shots and the flow of your own content creation.

Specific areas of the motel will be in focus for different types of shots (lifestyle, portrait etc) which will be discussed on the guided walkthrough.


  11:00am - 5:00pm   [OPTIONAL] MINI-BRANDING SHOOTS WITH KATE NUTT BEGIN: 
 
Industry pals who have pre-booked their 1:1 mini-branding shoot with Kate are encouraged to get in touch with any must-have shots in advance. 


  11:00am - 5:00pm   FREE TIME FOR GLAM SHOTS + CONTENT CREATION: 

Now it's time for you to roam freely around the property and take your very own content. 

This is your chance to maximise your 'glam shot' moments, whether it's selfies, group shots, behind-the-scenes captures - you've got the perfect setting to tick off all of your content goals. 
 
Steph will be on deck to provide suggestions for using props, to help you experiment with different angles and how to leverage the natural lighting for the best visuals.

Visit our designated break area for a chance to refuel, mingle and share insights on your shoot progress and ideas.

The Mysa Motel is located a stones throw away from local cafes, supermarket and takeaway shops. You're more than welcome to go offsite and grab what you need to get you through the day.
 
 
  2:30pm - 4:30pm   RELAX, NETWORK & ENJOY THE MYSA MOTEL:
 

To begin the wind down from an incredible day, please take the time to relax, enjoy the amenities. 

The Mysa Motel is a huge advocate of slow living and we want you to experience this as much as you can during your day with us.

Feel free to get changed into your swimmers or resort wear and take your casual networking and conversations to the Splash Club.

TIP: The fun has not stopped yet, so feel free to ask your pals to shoot those candid group shots or videos to capture the energy and excitement of the afternoon.


  4:30pm - 5:00pm   PACK UP & EVENT WRAP-UP:

We'll begin wrapping up and packing away any gear, clothing and or props for your journey home.

What do I need to bring?
CAMERA GEAR: Whether you're bringing your phone or DSLR, make sure they are fully charged prior to arrival, have ample storage space and have charger cords on hand - just incase you need to juice them up at any time.

OUTFIT CHANGES: Plan to bring along at least 4-5 outfit changes so that you can capture different looks for varied content. 
Be mindful that these outfits should also align with your travel niche and be on-brand. 

FOOTWEAR: Please consider wearing stylish but comfortable footwear for walking around the motel and standing throughout the day. BUT, if you have a killer pair of stilletos that you want to  wear for content, bring them - you can always toss them off afterwards and sink back into your comfy pair. Slippers aren't a bad idea either if you want to exude comfort for the day.

PERSONAL CARE: Ladies... pack your make-up kit and hair tools for essential looks you're going for, as you may prefer to freshen up between looks/outfit changes.  Men... feel free to bring your hair & face care products along to stay hydrated and looking energised.  Also, clean hands and nails are always a good idea!

PROPS: The Mysa Motel has incredibly beautiful grounds and simple but elegant furnishings, however, if you would like to bring props such as luggage, passports, maps, travel guides, laptops, tripods, ring lights, lifestyle accessories - you are welcome to bring these too. If you have other items you would like to bring that aren't on this list, please email us at [email protected] and check if its a possibility.

They inhabit the former site of a Gold Coast institution - the Palm Trees Motel - and during the recent renovation, Eliza & Jason, the owners, have upcycled a lot of materials from the original building (like bricks & hardwood trusses), and salvaged materials (including breezeblocks, mosaic tiles and recycled composite wood) from other locations in the area.
